    in white. They were dancing. They threatened to keep him if he would not dance with them. The man consented to dance with them. When they had finished they told him he could go. After two days he died. It is said he was carried away by the fairies.
    Long ago the people found it very hard to bring home their turf. There were only old porches leading into the bog. Later on the people got grants to repair those porches. There is a headstone on the side of the road leading to Dunmore. There was a man shot there during the troubled times in Ireland. He was taken from his home and shot in the broad day-light. The people erected a head-stone to his memory.
