    And distant were they heard on the far Munster shore,
    The monster rolled oe'r, a large wound in his head,
    Before parting with him they made he was dead,
    And returning to home rejoicing were they,
    Saying thanks to the Lord for he's out of the way.
    But as I was out walking tis lately one night,
    I met hairy man O' I got such a fright,
    And as he approached me I gave a great sigh.
    Faith I took to the scrapers and let him pass by,
    So all your night ramblers keep in door at night.
    So good bye my old friend I have no more to resite
