    Festival Customs.
    On New Year's day in Malahide the people who have motor cars tie tin-cans to their cars and that night they go round with the cans dragging behind. The people stay up late at night to hear the bells in DUblin.
    On St. Stephens Day boys and men dress up in old hats and cloaks and go around to the doors and sing songs. People give them money mostly "coppers". The have a boy specially for taking the money and then
