    at our house. Sometimes the people of the house, they visit give them tea, and bread. The alms they accept are, flour, bread, butter, potatoes, tea, and sugar.
    The Gypsies do not call at the district so often nowadays, but about eight years ago they frequently visited it.
    Every family of tinkers have carts or a caravan, so they do not need to walk very much, except when they are going from house to house. They travel in bands usually. The tinkers are the people that visit the district most frequently. The Summer, and Autumn are the two special times that they visit the district. They come before the fair-days.
