  1. The animals which we have at home are horses, cows and pigs.
    "Pruggy pruggy" we say when we are calling the calves in. The cow house is called a byre.
    Cows are tied to the stake by the neck. The tyings are made of chains and ropes. Sometimes there is a horse shoe hung up in the byre to bring luck.
    It is said that old witches could put your cows from milking if you angered them.
