Bogbean was used as a tonic for building up the body.
Seaweed was used for washing peoples feet as a cure for pains.
A girl named Mina Linsay in this district can make a cure for bone disease from bogbean.
A man named John Boggs in this district can cure jaundice.
Nine gooseberry jags are used for curing a stye.
A dalkin leaf is used for curing a sting from a nettle.
Warts were cured by means of a mixture made from the bark of a blackthorn tree and fresh butter.
Another cure is made for warts from baking soda and buttermilk.
There are three holy wells at the green hill Malin.
In olden times people went to these for cures whilst fasting but one of these has now ceased to boil.
