A man was going to be married. About a week before the marriage the woman was drowned.

A man was going to be married. About a week before the marriage the woman was drowned. One night he was returning from his ceilidhe. The drowned woman walked alongside him. He couldn't speak. When he got indoors he fainted.
The following night when going home he saw her again. This time he addressed her, and asked her why was she there. She told him to go to some old ruins where he would get a half-crown under a stone. She asked him to go to a certain man and pay him with this half-crown for whiskey which she had got for the wedding.
She walked every night beside him till he paid her debt.
