  1. The Salt-pans of Urris
    About 60 years ago salt was made in Urris. There was machinery there for th making the salt. Big tanks of salt-water were put on a big fire and let boil dry. When the water was boiled dry there was salt at the bottom of tank. This salt was taken out of the tank and the same was done again. Where this salt was made is called the salt-pans of Urris.
