  1. Games.
Here are some of the games that the children in Craigadooish play.
"The Grand Old Duke of York". Choose partners. Form two rows facing each other. The partners at the head of the two rows start, and parade up and down between the rows while all mark time and sing "The Grand Old Duke of York.
    He had so many men
He marched them up to the top of the hill
And he marched them down again.
    II
And when they were up they were up
And when they were down they were down
And when they were only half way up
They were neither up nor down.
When the partners have paraded up and down twice they then march round from the road followed by the two rows, from a bridge with their hands and the others pass through. These remain at the ends of the rows.
The partners at the head of the rows now start, and go through the same performance.
