  1. I
I am a decent Irishman and always very kind.
I saw a sight the other night
    That nearly turned my mind.
    'Twas Alan Moody's younger son
    A running for his life.
From heels to head a bloody red.
And in his hand a knife.
    II
Said I good evening butcher boy.
    What's all the bloody row?
He says my man don't take a land.
Did you see Matt Graham's sow?
You are the only bloody pig I met upon my way.
Do you intent my worthy friend.
    Matt Graham's pig to slay.
    III
I know you were to Canada.
And fought with beast and man.
There's nothing there that could compare.
    With Peggy from Strabane.
I see you laughing now sir.
    And looking at my dress.
Now I'll disclose how my good clthes.
    Got into such a mess.
