  1. There are a lot of birds in this district but the most common of them are the robin, cuckoo, swallow, wren, blackbird, thrush, corncrake, pigeon, crow and sea-gulls.
    I think the robin is the nicest bird of all. It has a red breast and two very thin legs. It has brown feathers.
    It makes its nest in a bank. It is made of moss. There it lays four or five tiny brown dotted eggs.
    It is said that the robin picked the thorns off Jesus Christ head and a drop of blood fell on the robin's breast, since then it has a red breast.
