   Garlic is a cure for rheumatoid pains and cramps in the stomach. Some milk is boiled and put into a cup with the garlic and then drunk by the person. Broom plant is a cure for swelling, the leaves of the broom are boiled, strained, and the water is drunk for the cure. Fairy thimbles are a cure for itching spots on feet. The fairy thimbles have to be pulled before sunset and made into a poultice and put on the spots for the cure. Bogbine is a herb which grows in the bog, the roots are long and thin and have to be dug out of the ground, they have to be well washed, boiled, strained and bottled. It keeps some time and is of a brown colour. A small glassful taken every morning before breakfast is a very good cure for cleaning the blood. The leaves of the castor oil plant are a cure for sore eyes. The
