Once upon a time a man cut a thorn bush beside Millar's fort in Drumbarron when he had it cut up he put it on the fire he heard a great noise and squeeling inside of it. At once the tree opened out and out jumped ten or eleven fairies and danced round the fire. The people were so much frightened that they ran out of their house screaming. So from that day forth nobody ever cut a thorn bush near a fort again.
