    When the cattle run for shelter and all the birds become quiet the storm is near.
    If the mountains are clear rain is near.
    If only the part of the rainbow appears in the sky it is a very bad sign.
    "When the swallows fly high good weather is nigh". When swallows fly low bad weather is near.
    The moon sometimes has a bright ring around her and the nearer the ring is to the moon the nearer the rain is to us.
    When the stars are too bright it will be a very frosty night.
