  2. The Martello Towers.
    The Martello Towers were built around the coast as fortification. They were also used for hiding ammunition and guns. They were built from granite from Dalkey quarry.

    There is an old graveyard with the Church of St Begnet which holds some very old tomb-stones one is said to be dated before he coming of St. Patrick
