"Well" said the robber, "I shall not tell a woman where the pot of gold coins is hidden, for I have been brought to this scaffold by the treachery of a woman", and he added "Between the Mill and Mass-Rock there is as much gold buried, as would make all the people of the parish of Ballyduff wealthy for ever".
After his execution many people visited the place indicated, some even dug here and there under the Mass-Rock, but no sign of the hidden treasure has ever been found.- Informant
