  1. There was once a man named Michael Durkan who lived in the village of Carragarra, Knockmore.
    One day a cow came into his farm out of Lough Conn and he left her there when he could not get any owner for her.
    He was a small farmer and she used to give him a certain quantity of milk.
    She stayed with him for seven years but one day she heard a calf lowing in the lake and off she ran towards it and into it with her and they never saw a sight of her afterwards.
