    Nora Stephen who lived in Cartron carried a hundred bag of meal on her back from Swinford, a distance of about seven miles.
    Anthony Kneafsery, Cartron, walked to Drogheda when he was going ot England.
    Martin Ruddy, who lived in Cartron carried a coffin on his back from Sligo, a distance of about sixty miles. It is about seventy years ago since he did that.
    Michael Heggarty who lived in Cartron, mowed an Irish acre of hay in one day with a hook.
    Patrick O'Neill of Creggane carried four hundred of oats, two hundred under each arm.
