    preparations were made at both houses On the day before the marriage the girls father usually went to town to buy everything necessary for the marriage a barrel of porter and whiskey and meat.
    The girl usually asked all her friends while the man asked his own friends sometimes over one hundred people were assembled. On the morning of the marriage all the friends assembled at the girls house and marched in a line two deep to the chapel sometimes two flute players played before the procession "The Wedding March" All entered the chapel and when the ceremony was over the whole assembly marched in the same way to the nearest public house where they stayed until ten oclock in the night drinking whiskey and porter while some of the younger
