    it till there would be nothing left but the water. Then they left the water to rest and after a few days the starch would be found on the bottom. The bits of potatoes that were left were mixed with flour and salt and boxty was made with it.
    They made the dip candle also with the suet of the sheep. They used to melt it into tallow. Then they made a wick of calieo and kept drawing it through the tallow till it would be as thick as any candle. Then they hung it up to dry and get hard.
