  1. The Augustinian Cemetery (said to date back to foundation of Abbey in 1348) burials still take place there. Several historical families buried there including MacCostellos, Dillons and O'Garas (decendants of Fergal O'Gara the patron of the Four Masters) Some inscriptions in Latin, one in Irish on tombstone of Anne Lyons, Alias Fitzmaurice, who died on Dec 20th 1837 Ta me sinte anuidh aancre Bhidh me a chairde air an tsaogal mar thee.
