On Ascension Thursday Out Lord ascended into heaven. It is a holiday of Obligation. It is a feast held on the fortieth day after Easter in memory of Our Lord's ascension into Heaven from Mount Olivet. When he was leaving Mount Olivet He took the souls of the just who had died before His coming.
