    Dandelion is good for the heart. The seventh son has a cure.
    If anyone had a heart-burn they would get a young frog and eat it up and after a cuple [sic] hours it would be gone.
    If you had a cut on your finger it is said that if you rub it with a cob web that it will cure it. It is said that if you had a burn in your foot that there is a plant growing that would cure it.
    There is a holy well in Lough Ciaran and if any animals were sick, the people would got to the well and do Stations around it then the animals would get better.
    There is a herb in the bog and it would grow hair.
    If you put a poultice of linseed on a boil it would cure it. Goose grease is a cure for sprain.
    Nettles and hard boiled egg cured pip (Turkeys)
    Boiled nettles and drink the water is a cure for chest troubles.
