My father sprays the potatoes three times, - first about the first week in July, and then again three weeks later, - and again in three weeks time.
The potatoes are dug with spades both in the drills and ridges. I help to pick them. We pick the sound big ones first and put them in a pit in the field. This pit is made about a foot deep and two feet wide. We cover the pits with scraws and put a layer of clay outside. The potatoes are then safe for the winter.(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
