    in a head of cabbage. Each of them puts a mark on her head. If a girl comes in first she goes with her eyes closed to the boys' heads of cabbage. Which ever one she leaves her hand on is supposed to be the name of the future husband.
    Another custom connected with November's night is to bring a looking glass to a well and look down into the water. It is said that one would see their her future husband or wife.
