    In former times shoes were not as plentiful as they are nowadays. People never wore shoes until they were going to England or to America. Very few shoe makers lived long ago.
    There is a shoemaker living in Swinford now over nintey years of age. He had a thriving boot shop and the boots were made on the premises. He also mended
