  1. St. Brigid's Eve. On Saint Brigid's Eve the people place a cloth on a hedge or on a wall near their house. The next day they bring the cloth in. Anyone who gets a headache during the year place the cloth around their head and it is said that they are cured. A little girl in my class told me that her grandmother told her that they used to do it in her house long ago when she was a little girl.
