direction of he fort to where the tree fell.
They got terrified ,and they ran. When they had gone a bit they plucked up courage again and they decided to return. When they returned all was silent .One of them began to cut off the loose branches with a knife. When he began to cut the branch a roar came from the direction of Conways fort.It was like a person cutting a man's head as it were.As he cut,the roar became weaker, and weaker and when he ceased to cut the branches the roar ceased. At last they departed carrying the tree between them.
On the way home they came to a limekiln and they threw the tree into it.On their return to the limekiln next day,the tree was missing.I suppose the "Good People"had the better of them again after their long and terrifying labour.- Bailitheoir
