    When the frogs appear dark.
    When the frog spawns in the centre of the pond it indicates dry weather, but if they spawn near the edge a wet Summer may be expected.
    When sheep feed very early in the morning.
    When the mist hangs very long on the high hill.
    The midges are plentiful & bite wickedly.
    Bum bees[?] at night indicate good weather.
