  1. Once upon a time a man went to a neighbours house a visit. When he was going home at about eleven oclock he heard cheering at the back of the hill near the house so he went to the top of the hill to see what it was. So he saw a lot of men playing football so he stopped to watch them. It was a very bright night. Soon he began to get afraid so he started home, his home was only four fields from this place so he could not find his way home he was walking all night. When morning came he found himself on the shores of Lough Sheelin in the Parish of Ballymachugh about seven miles from his home.
