  1. It is said there is a pot of gold in Carrickacleven lake beside an old bush. Two men dreamt about it one time and they also dreamt that they had to get two grey mares that never had a foal.
    They dreamt that that they had to put traces and a big chain on them and to put a hook on the chain. So one morning they went to the lake and they threw the chain out into the spot that they dreamed the gold was. The hook caught in something and the mares started to pull.
    When they had it over the water it fell back and a black cat came out and said "one of these mares had a foal.
    If none of the mares had a foal the gold was belonging to the men. The gold is there yet
