   Near Kilnaleck there lived a man, who used to lose all his butter. He went to the priest, and told him. The priest told him. for everyone living in the house to go to Mass, on the next morning, except himself, for him to close all the doors, and windows, and to take twelve pins out of the harrow, and to put them in the fire. Who-ever was taking the butter would come, but he told him to not let her in, until she would ask, to let her in for God s sake or if he did, she would kill him. The man did as he had been told. When she went into the house, she walked up to the fire and took the pins out in her hands. The man never lost butter after that day.
