- Fairy forts are very numerous in this district. There is one in Carnagh and two in Mullahoran. There are supposed to be fairies staying in every fort in the district since olden times.
There is a fort not far from our house called Brady's Fort. One night about two years ago, John Brady and Michael Gray were going home. They saw a band of fairy people going up and down the fort. They were singing fairy songs and playing fairy music. They got a great fright when they saw the fairies.
