- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)One Glan man started to milk her into a riddle to see if she could be milked dry.
After a time the cow looked round and saw the trick.
She was in the middle of the valley at the time with a wall of mountain all around the valley.
Suddenly she jumped away and gave the milker such a kick that he flew through the air till he hit the mountain to the west side of the Glan. He hit it with such force that he knocked the top of the mountain in that place.
Meanwhile the cow rushed Westwards and reaching the mountain she made a mighty leap to clear it.
She didn't jump quite high enough and so she knocked the top off the mountain and made a gap in the East.
The two mountain - gaps are still there as evidence that all this happened in the olden times.- Faisnéiseoir
