  1. Local Song

Have you heard of the team of corragow sportsmen

This song was composed by Mr Henry Boylan who still lives with Mr Brian Somers, Broomfield. Why it was composed was because it was challenged between Carragower and Kilrudaree. It is called the Tug of War Song which was pulled in 1922. It goes to the air of the Tri coloured Ribbon.
Have you heard of the team of the Carragower sportsmen
A fine set of lads, as brave as could be
One fine Wednesday morning, with their gallant captain,
They started away to meet Kilrudaree
Chorus :- So high on their breast they are wearing those medals o.
High on their breast for every one to see.
