Eggs collected on a Good Friday would be marked with the finder's initials to be eaten on Easter Sunday and are said to keep away the sickness of the year. - The farm animals are:- Cows, sheep, horses, cattle and goats.
The domestic animals are:- Pigs, dogs, cats, geese, ducks, hens, chickens, and turkeys.
The cows have got names. Their names are "Pooh", "Ginger", "Polly" and "Bawny". When I am driving the cows to the field I shout "How! How!"
In a cowhouse there is a separate stall for each cow, the walls are built of stone, and the roof is thatched. The walls inside are mostly whitewashed.
Every morning the cowhouse is cleaned out, and clean straw is put under the animals.
The cows are tied around the neck(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Bailitheoir
