  1. Severe Weather.
    In 1903 there was a very big wind and there were many trees blown down in Durrow. Under one very large oak tree that was blown a number of skulls were found. This tree was growing just outside of the graveyard which surrounds the old church of Durrow.
    Houses and old sheds were blown down but no lives were lost.
    In February 1933 there was a heavy snow storm which lasted for about a week. In places the snow was as deep as 7ft. Many animals were lost and two lives.
