- a top: Long ago the old people used make toys for their children. The most common one is the top. It is made out of a spool. One end of it is paired, a piece of a stick is put through the hole for a point. Another kind of top is called a teetum tootum. It is made of a spool. It is not as big as the ordinary top, a whip is not used but it is spun with the hand. There are four colours and fours letters on it. The letters are A.T.N.T.P.
