    The seventh son in a family was supposed to be able to cure all forms of disease. He was often looked on as a doctor.
    Flour and flanned were used to take down any swelling especially Erysipelas and if it was mentioned at all as a cure it would have to be used whether the swelling was dangerous.
    It should be heated as hot as possible and applied.

    Borax and honey were used as a cure for Thrush.
    Persons who married one of the same name as himself or herself was supposed to have healing powers and to have the power to stop bleeding.
