    Screen - no antiquarian remains...

    hole, about 2 1/2 miles from the village of Screen and the pit is still known as the "Chapel hole".
    In 1760 a little chapel was built near the site of present parochial house on a spot called the "Chapel Field".
    It was replaced by a larger one, built on site now occupied by the present church.

  2. Beg Eire.
    A small island, containing about 21 1/2 acres situated miles from Screen. This is a flat speck of land with little to be seen on its surface just the grass-grown foundations of a small rectangular church, with a few burial stones around it. There are no distinctive features to date the building.
