    Ramsgrange Parish.
    Ramsgrange Parish 1200 English Acres. It was since Norman days part of the lands owned by Lord Abbot of Dunbrody. Left untilled, it developed into a sheep-walk or pasturage of Abbey. It is thus, it is supposed, to have got its name. The Flocks were turned into pasturage until each time as they were slaughtered.
    The District is particularly suitable for sheep - rearing. It forms a long stretch of high table lands, between two valleys that run parallel to each other North and South.
    It is fertile land, having no moor or swamp. It is well supplied by streams.
    The soil, too, is rich and suitable for tillage. This is excellent for crops of grain and cereals too. Wheat, Barley, oats, beet potatoes are raised.
    The Parish is divided into
