- The local fairs are held in the towns of Arva, Carrigallen, Longford, Drumlish, Granard, and Mohill. The fairs in the towns are held on the fair green and on the streets. Cows are mostly sold on the fair green and calves are mostly sold on the Main Street. In Mohill outside of the town there is a man sitting beside a big stone and every time when a man is going by with calves or any kind of cattle going into the fair he always has a stick in his hand and he hits the stone with his stick and he is taking a kind of an oath that if he sells the cattle he will pay whatever toll(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
