   Churning is a very common thing in this country, because it is done in nearly every house. I have a churn at home, it is one that turns round by a handle. The churn sits on a stand, when the churn is being done. The different various parts are the plug, the lid, the handle, and the frame. The name of the writen maker is marked on the bottom. Butter is made every Saturday. It is my Sister who does it. Strangers do not help with the work. It takes ten minutes or a quarter of an hour to do the churning. It is done by hand. The handle is turned round and round. There is a little piece of glass in the lid, and when the butter is done, this little piece of glass is clear, and there is no butter sticking to it. There is water poured in during the process. When the churning is done, the butter has to be
