  1. In olden times people used to eat different food to what we eat nowadays. They used to eat porridge for their breakfast, and after their breakfast they might take dry bread and tea with no milk in it, they used to call it black-tea. They also used to eat oaten bread. For their dinner they would eat a few potatoes and drink buttermilk as they were poor. For their tea they would eat oaten bread and buttermilk or black-tea.
