Ar an leathanach seo

  1. Up on the top of Slieve na Calliagh there is said to be a chain made of gold and of very precious value. Nobody has ever tried to find it is guarded by a cat of fierce character and the tradition has it that any person who touches it will be punished by instant death.
    It is believed to have been put there by the Danes and it may be in the large stone lios or rath which is on the side of the hill. The chain is said to be of very precious value for it was put there by the followers of a Danish chief. Having buried the treasure they put a magic spell on it and put the cat to guard it it and so it remains to this day. In at the Moats Oldcastle there is a pot of gold buried and it is guarded by a bull.
