    The most harmful weeds growing on our farm at home are nettles and thisles because they spread rapidly.
    There is another weed that spreads rapidly. Its name is capóg in Irish.
    Buttercups only grow where land is good and poppies and ragweed grow on poor land. Boiled nettles cure Measles. Docken leaves cure nettle stings.
    Ladies finger cure sick calves. Dandelion roots have also medicinal properties.
    There are several other herbs found in the district and are made up locally, to cure certain complaints such as burns and boils.
    These cures are kept secret in certain houses. Ivy leaves are good for dying things black.
    There are some poisonous plants such as Hemlock, Deadly nightshade, and Cuckoo Pint.
    Nettles can be used for food both for people and animals.
    Herbs were used alot in former times. The monks and hermits studied the herbs and
