- (continued from previous page)district and people pitied her, for she belonged to a good family but owing to an unhappy marriage she fell on evil days. She died about ten or twelve years ago. She was known as Biddy McKinley. An old traveller going about at present is named Johnny Dullaghan. He was born in Omeath and was working in a wind mill there. He fell from the top one day and got injured and this is the reason he is travelling about now. It is the only means of support he has. The injury affected his brain and he is now childish in manner. He brings the "latest" from one district to another and is known for miles around. Many of these old travelling beggars are fast disappearing. The old age pension and County relief keep many off the roads. Some years ago they lived only on the charity of the people.
