- There are two Church-yards in this Parish Kilwirra and Bush. They are both still in use. Kilwirra is the oldest, it is situated in Templetown, sloping towards the sea, there is the remains of a ruined chapel in it, and there are graves inside these ruins. There are some very old tombs in this grave-yard.
Bush is not a very old graveyard. It is situated on a hill, and the site for the graveyard and church was given to the parish by the Landlord, Lord Upton. The graveyard is still in use, and there is a church inside the graveyard in which services are still held every Sunday.
The first people to be buried in Bush graveyard were five sailors, who were washed into land on the Templetown shore these five sailors are buried in the south east corner of the graveyard, and are unknown.(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Bailitheoir
