- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)They entered and asked for lodging for the night. There was a young girl spinning inside the door and an old man sitting in the corner. The young girl offered them lodging.
The man of the three advices asked her was she the daughter of the old man. She replied that he was not but her lawful husband. The man of the advices asked his two brothers not to remain in the house but they refused. He left himself but made his bed in a bench of hay near the house. He did not sleep. About 11 o'clock a man on a white horse came into the hay-yard. He left his top-coat on the bench and tied his horse. He then went into the house. She told him that she left two men inside that night. They found that the two men were sleeping soundly. The fire was then pulled out and the old man was put behind it and burned to ashes.
While the evil deed was being performed the man in the bench had cut a piece of the lining of the over-coat and put it in his pocket.
The horse-man having left, the woman of the house ran out crying and telling the neighbours that her husband had been burned by the two lodgers. Later they were arrested. The man in(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Bailitheoir
