At present the people sow all class of potatoes such as Irish Queens,Bluemors,Leagers,Burst the grounds and Kerrpinks.A few years ago champions were very plentiful but they are not to be found now.They use Queens for eating here because they are the best.When the potatoes are sat a few weeks they are casted.Then they are softened .When the stalks are in full height they are sprayed.
The people begin to dig the potatoes in October .When they are dug they are left in a big heap in the garden all the year.They bring the very small potatoes home with them.it takes a fortnight to dig them. When the potatoes are cut they are called sgiolláns.When the women are sowing them they have a big bag twisted back around them and the potatoes inside in it.Long ago they(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
